1) Why do you want to become the 1^st ever UK’s Dazzling Beauty 2012?
I would like to become the 1^st ever UK’s Dazzling Beauty 2012 because it would provide me with a good foundation from which to build from in order to establish a career in the world of modeling. Also, I would be part of an event helping to raise awareness of three worthy charities. Furthermore, I aim to be a positive role model for others. Winning this title would be a dream come true and as Walt Disney once said ‘All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.’

2) What are your 3 biggest achievements to date?
Achieving my personal targets in my school grades. I worked really hard to achieve them and knowing all my hard work had paid off was very rewarding.

I have been in a TV commercial for a company called MoneyGram which was aired in the Philippines.

Forming a girl band and successfully auditioning for the student Christmas concert at school. Although we were not note perfect, the audience loved us.

3) What education, qualification and work experience do you have?
All of my GCSE’s are between C to A*. I did two weeks work experience with Shake Dance Company working for Rachel King, founder and chief choreographer.

4) Describe yourself in 3 words?
Friendly, creative and outgoing.

5) How would your friends and family describe you?
My friends and family would describe me as talkative, friendly and the girl next door – down to earth, kind and caring.

6) What are your goals dreams and aspirations?
I appreciate that education is important so my immediate goal is to finish my A-Levels. I then hope to go to university to study either art or photography with a view to a future career in teaching.

7) Have you ever done any modelling, beauty pageants or performances before? Have you ever won any awards, titles, crowns? If so please state:
I have done photo shoots since the age of thirteen. I have taken part in school productions and was in a TV commercial for a company called MoneyGram.

8) Have you ever raised any money for charity or been involved in Youth or Charity Work and if so please tell us about your experiences/fundraising:
Through school I have been involved in numerous fund raising events such as SPUD days, Sport Relief mile, Christmas shoebox appeal for Africa and a FairTrade fashion show. 

9) What heat are you applying for and why would you like to represent this city?
I am applying for the Hampshire heat. I have lived here all my life and I’m proud to say I’m from here.

11) What makes you a Dazzling Beauty and what qualities do you have that make you unique, special and loveable? (ie. talents, skills, abilities, strengths, ambitions?)
I believe I am a Dazzling Beauty because I am comfortable in my own body and am not afraid to be myself. I am a people person, I like meeting new people, socialising with friends and I find helping other people rewarding. Confident, friendly and cheerful, I live life to the full and always have a positive outlook.

3) What education, qualification and work experience do you have? I am currently doing my GCSEs at school and also work part-time as a junior hairdresser which I want to take on full time after I finish my education.

2) What are your 3 biggest achievements to date? I won my college hairdressing competition and then beauty competition and I’ve proved that I’m not afraid of hard work

3) What education, qualification and work experience do you have? I have NVQ levels 1 and 2 in Hairdressing and NVQ Levels 1 and 2 in Beauty Therapy and I’m coming to the end of Level 3 Beauty Therapy.  I’ve worked behind the bar in my local pub since I was 18 and I also work in another bar doing early morning cleaning.

(i.e. talents, skills, abilities, strengths, ambitions?) I’m strong willed and determined.  I love working in the pub with local people – it’s great fun joking and laughing with them but sometimes I just listen to their worries.  I love my family and help my sister with her two gorgeous daughters and although I drive my Mum crazy, she wouldn’t be without me.

Studied dance and surrey university, lots of retail and customer service experience since age of 17.

Hard working, feisty, loyal and weird!

I’d like to progress my modelling and acting and make a living out of performing. I’d also like to raise awareness about mental health and other controversial issues that young women face.

At work I raised nearly £200 for getting one of my male colleagues to dress as a woman. This was for children in need 2011.

I’m a singer, composer, producer, I write lyrics and I’m also vocal coach with a four-octave vocal range with the highest register. I’m from Poland but I live in London. Since early childhood, I performed on the stage as an actress and singer. I worked as a singer at the Music Theather in Poland (Musicals). I mastered my vocal skills participating in various vocal workshops based on jazz and soul gospel music. I graduated from the prestigious Karol Szymanowski Academy of Jazz Music in Katowice (Vocal-Instrumental Department). For the last 10 years I performed with an American choreographer, dancer, singer and director Barry Solone and his bands, Salty Orange and Broadway Band (popular jazz/pop/soul/blues standards). In 2005 I formed my own music project called NuSoulCity and I released two albums independently with the music that I co-wrote for it.

Hayleigh Blinkhorne Surrey’s Dazzling Beauty Finalist & Congrats to her for being the winner of Miss Talent at UK’s Dazzling Beauty Boot Camp

1) Why do you want to become the 1^st ever UK’s Dazzling Beauty 2012?
I am a happy go-lucky teenager who has a huge ambition to be successful in life and would love to work on TV.  I was recently approached when I attended the Britain’s Next Top Model show to consider modelling and that is why I contacted your company.  I do understand that I have to work hard to be successful and am willing to do so, but do want to have fun too.  To be the 1^st ever UK’s Dazzling Beauty would be a dream come true.

2) What are your 3 biggest achievements to date?
Passing several modules of my GCSEs already with As and A*s, running and completing the Race for Life with my mum and two sisters for the past four years. Being part of a ‘gifted and talented’ group at school for Drama, Dance and PE.

3) What education, qualification and work experience do you have? I am still at school studying, however I do have a cv which shows what I have done in education and qualifications.  Late last year I undertook my scheduled work experience, where I spent a week in a fabulous hair and beauty salon and learnt how to do massage, manicures and pedicures and then I spent two fantastic weeks at the Broadway Theatre in Barking Essex, undertaking all roles within a theatre, including planning for a show, stage preparation and ‘meeting the press’.

4) Describe yourself in 3 words?
Fun, Happy and Considerate

5) How would your friends and family describe you?
Probably the same, a fun-loving, happy friend that everyone can always rely on.   Considerate to others and extremely family-orientated.

6) What are your goals dreams and aspirations? To be successful in whatever I do and always try my best.  I would love to work on TV, maybe as a presenter or interviewer.

No, I was approached at the Britain’s next Top Model show and was chosen for a makeover and photo shoot, which I really enjoyed and one of the ladies at the photo shoot suggested I apply for this pageant.

Yes, I have competed in the Race for Life every year for the past four years and will be doing it again this year and me and my family are always doing whatever we can to support Great Ormond Street Hospital as my younger sister has been under GOSH ever since she was three days old and it is an amazing place; full of inspirational people.

9) What heat are you applying for and why would you like to represent this city?
Surrey – I would be extremely proud to represent the area to show that there are beautiful people (inside and out) all over the UK/World.

Dancing – contemporary ballet or street dancing.

I would perform a singing and dancing routine with a twist my own mix and with some surprises in my routine you will be blown away

Daisy Whetlor, 15, Surrey’s Dazzling Beauty (Teen) Finalist 2012

Which category will you compete in?  Teen

1) Why do you want to become the 1^st ever UK’s Dazzling Beauty 2012? There is so much bad press about teenagers – gangs, drugs, alcohol, unwanted pregnancies for example that I would LOVE to be the first ever UK Dazzling Beauty as apart from being a fabulous experience, I feel that it is important to be a great role model for teenage girls.  I also feel that I am in a position to give out a positive message to teenage girls who may be going through personal traumas too.  I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis three years ago and despite having a “diagnosis” I am proving that you CAN just be like any other “normal” teen.  I still do all my dancing, acting and singing and haven’t let my arthritis stop me.

2) What are your 3 biggest achievements to date? My three biggest achievements to date are most recently successfully being cast as a lead in a kids drama for CBBC – I spent three weeks in Liverpool on set filming and I absolutely loved it and it has confirmed what I always thought – I definitely want to act in the future! I competed in Miss Teen GB 2011 last September and placed in the Top 10 and won Best Smile award.  This was my first pageant experience and I had an amazing time, making lots of new friends and gaining invaluable experience – I’ve got the pageant “bug” now!! My third biggest achievement is that I am achieving really well at school both academically and also on the extra-curricular side.  My grades are very good and I am predicted to do exceptionally well at my GCSEs.  I take part in as much as I can at school – drama performances, I’ve just been made a prefect and I am a “Hear for You counsellor” for the lower school members.

3) What education, qualification and work experience do you have?  I am doing very well at school and most importantly, I ENJOY school! I am taking 12 GCSEs with expected As and A* grades. I have organised my work experience for this coming summer and am looking forward to working in a photographer’s studio in the role of an assistant, helping out with photo shoots and organisation of the studio.  I am a prefect this year and also, as previously mentioned, a “Hear for You” counsellor.  This is a scheme where upper school pupils give up their lunchbreaks to help younger students deal with any problems both inside and outside of school life.

4) Describe yourself in 3 words? Bubbly, confident and positive!

5) How would your friends and family describe you? I asked my mum this and here’s her answer! “Daisy is a great girl with a sunny personality.  She is lively and outgoing but does have a more serious, reflective side to her.  A typical Capricorn – a little mountain goat! She is very determined and always tries her best!”.

6) What are your goals dreams and aspirations? As the saying goes “you only live once” so I want to do as much as I possibly can and fulfil all my goals! Most importantly I want to be doing drama, drama, and drama forever! I hope to have a successful career in theatre, arts and television and then later on in life have a happy family. I truly feel that I belong on stage and can’t get enough of performing!

7) Have you ever done any modelling, beauty pageants or performances before? Have you ever won any awards, titles, crowns? If so please state: Yes, I competed in Miss Teen Great Britain 2011 last September and out of 65 girls reached the Top 10 and won Best Smile! This year in March I took part in Miss Teen Galaxy and was very proud to be placed in the Top 20 out of 60 girls, the other 19 were all older than me (18, 19 years old!). I have taken part in numerous drama performances too! I attend Redroofs Theatre School every Saturday where I take a creative drama class and a musical theatre class.  Several times a year we put on a show.  I also attend a dance class every Friday after school, “Upstage” and once a year we put on a huge musical theatre show at the Camberley Theatre.  My school has performing arts status and the quality of our drama performances is really high.  I take part in as much as I can there – main school production, lower school production and obviously I am taking drama and dance for GCSE.  Professionally I have been an extra in Midsomer Murders, I filmed a medical infomercial and most recently I filmed a kids drama for CBBC which I believe will be aired in September.

8) Have you ever raised any money for charity or been involved in Youth or Charity Work and if so please tell us about your experiences/fundraising: As part of Miss Teen Great Britain I chose to raise money for Arthritis in Teenagers.  I held a raffle in my mum’s beauty studio to raise funds.  At school our chosen charity is Simon Community which supports homelessness and recently I took part in a sleepover at the school to raise awareness and funds.

9) What heat are you applying for and why would you like to represent this city? I’m applying for the Surrey heat that will take place in Guildford.  I would love to represent Surrey as this is where I have been brought up and lived for the whole of my life and there are so many fantastic places, activities and opportunities to be had here.

10) If you were to compete in our talent round what would you perform or what talent would you display for the judges?   I would sing! It would probably be a musical theatre style song  (of course!) as I love this style!

11) What makes you a Dazzling Beauty and what qualities do you have that make you unique, special and loveable? (i.e. talents, skills, abilities, strengths, ambitions?)  I am confident, articulate, intelligent, ambitious and fun.  I relate well to others with empathy and I am a teen who wants to DO something with her life! I don’t want to be hanging around street corners – I’m so glad I have a passion that keeps me focused.  I feel like life is just starting for me and I am SO excited for the future! I foresee lots of dance and drama in my life, great friends (the great circle of friends I have now AND new friends that I shall be making in the future), I want to do well at school and be the best I can possibly be.

Singing Sensation Sheila ~ G set to perform at Surrey’s Dazzling Beauty and on the panel as Celebrity Guest of Honour and Judge

Sheila ~G is a Sensational Indian/British Soul Singer, The Director of Learning with Success, a previous Miss India UK Grand-finalist in 2005. Sheila is a star that has performed at major events, concerts, gigs, weddings and shows in countries such as India, Trinidad and all over the UK.

Sheila has travelled across the world and has lived in several countries which include France, Germany and Tanzania. She states ‘I’d say i’m a well-rounded, well-travelled person, full of life and always positive. I have a very cosmopolitan social circle, and love to integrate and adapt myself to different cultures-the world is a huuuuge place and my aim is to see as much of it before i’m too old! I love music and dance-it’s an outlet for me as well as a great passion…’. She has touched Great Britain, Asia and other nations with her fabulous yet oh-so-soothing vocals, her wonderful smile and her heart of gold. She is a female genius with an MA in Linguistics and a BA hons degree in German and French, she speaks 5 fluent languages which include German, French and Gujarati and can speak another two other languages (conversational) which include Spanish, also received grade As and A*’s in her GCSE’s, excellent A-levels too. She now teaches English, French & German to GCSE and A level students and also specialises in training younger children for entrance examinations into independent and grammar schools. Her passion for the private sector is so great that in November 2010 she teamed up with friend Eric Carlson to set up the private tuition agency Learning With Success, which caters for any level of private home tuition across the curriculum. She has written many songs and released her own Album titled ‘Gemstones’ and some other EP’s where she has collborated with other artists around the world including British reggae singer Peter Hunnigale. Under a distribution deal with India’s major label Music Today, her debut single and video Teasing’ was released in 2003 and was played consistently on TV stations such as Zee TV and Channel U as well as various radio stations.

Sheila competed in Miss India 2005 UK (at the grand-finals) and made the top 15 due to her outstanding looks and talent; she dazzled the judges in the talent round, singing an original medley of ‘world stood still’ (written by her) and ‘killing me softly.

Her song writing, together with modelling, also combines Dance and creativity. This star has so much to give and offer….we can’t wait to have her as a Judge and performing amazing songs at Surrey’s Dazzling Beauty 2012 on the 13th of May 2012.
