Yes, I’ve raised money for charity and i have a charity pageant a raffle already planned for your charity and my goal is to raise £500 this year for your charity.

Yes I go to k.biss theatre school so I love to perform

I would love to win Christmas beauty because Christmas is my fav time of year – I love to sparkle like a Christmas star –

I would love to be in the 2014 final as I won sussed heat this year and had such a fab time and meet some lovely people. Next year I we aim to improve on my position in the grand final

My 3 best things at charismas are seeing all my family – Christmas children’s service Christmas eve and of course pressie’s

1) Why have you decided to enter in for Miss Christmas Beauty UK 2013 (UK’s Dazzling Beauty Pageant) and how did you hear about this competition?   
I heard about the Miss Christmas Beauty UK 2013 competition through being a grand finalist for UK’s Dazzling Beauty 2013. Although I didn’t win the grand final, I learnt a lot from it and decided what better way to begin to show what I have learnt than the most beautiful time of the year.

2) What are your three best Christmas songs?
Taylor Swift’s Last Christmas 

Mariah Carey’s All I want for Christmas is you. 

Mel and Kim’s Rocking around the Christmas Tree.

3) What makes you a Christmas Dazzling Beauty? (Give three reasons):
a) Christmas is the time for love, togetherness and forgiveness. I feel that I am a very loving person and adore spending Christmas together with all my family. I like to treat everyone as an individual and try to encourage people to be forgiving of others mistakes and use Christmas as a time for new beginnings.

b) I love to have fun and see others having fun to. When I think of a dazzling, sparkling time of the year it’s Christmas. So being a Christmas Dazzling Beauty would be ideal for me.

c) I think I am

Q uick witted, sparkly and fun. 

U nique like no other. Just like Christmas. 

E nergetic, lively and full of sparkle. 

E nigmatic like Christmas. You never know what to expect. 

N atural, yet driven like the Christmas snow we are hoping for.

4) Have you ever raised money for Charity before and what will you do to raise money for our Chosen Charities?
I have raised money for many charities in the past, raising several thousand pounds. I recently won the charity award at Face of the Globe, Teenie Miss and Mr and our own UK’s Dazzling Beauty grand final. I feel as I cannot afford to give financially fundraising is of the utmost importance to try to help those in need have  a chance of experiencing a better life. I have held raffles, psychic evenings, pamper and shopping nights, taken part in dance a thons and would continue to do this to raise money for the chosen charities. I am however always on the lookout for new fund raising ideas. One idea I am working on is to contact local businesses to ask for help with child friendly donations and to hold a children’s prize bingo event.

5) Have you ever entered a Beauty Pageant before or had any performing arts experience? (If yes, please tell us about your experience)
I have entered a few pageants before, including our own UK’s Dazzling Beauty Final and have gained a great deal of confidence from them. I belong to an amateur dramatics group and have appeared in various stage productions with them including The King and I, Calamity Jane and Oliver. I am currently taking singing and drama lessons as well as learning to play the guitar. I also have weekly lessons in ballet, tap, contemporary, street, pointe, modern, disco dance, cheer leading, bollywood and lyrical and am working through my BTDA and IDTA examinations with them. I have also just been fortunate enough to have won my second yearly scholarship with The British Theatre Dance Association.

6) Why should you be the winner of Miss Christmas Beauty UK 2013?
I feel that I would be the perfect candidate for the title of Miss Christmas Beauty Teen UK 2013 as I am honest, reliable and hardworking. I would use my title to promote all the positive things about beauty pageants like how they are confidence boosting, fun and friendly and work towards ridding people of the negative press surrounding them. I would continue my quest to raise funds for charity, looking for new ideas and opportunities. I would also continue to strive to be a good role model for others. This is a very impressionable society we live in so getting as much positivity in the world is vitally important. 

7) If you win Miss Christmas UK 2012 this will also grant you a place in the Grand finals of UK’s Dazzling Beauty 2013, what will this mean to you and why do you feel that you will make a great grand finalist?
I feel that having been a grand finalist previously to be given the chance to become one again would give me another year to grow as an individual and to learn from my mistakes giving me that second chance. I think that being able to sit back, evaluate your performance and learn from it to become a better person is a good skill to have.

8) What three things do you love about Christmas more than anything? 
a) The happy, feel good atmosphere.
b) Seeing everywhere you go so brightly decorated.
c) Getting the whole family together, which makes it all the more special.

9) If you had to compete on a live stage for Miss Christmas Beauty UK, which round would be your favourite out of evening wear round, snow white dresses round, christmas wear round?
The evening wear round is always my favourite. What girl doesn’t like to dress up and be made to feel like a princess. In this busy world we should all have the chance to shine.

Interview with Award-Winning Female Entrepreneur Kylie Hearn CEO of Stardust Boutique

Happy Festive Season everyone,

Hope you are all enjoying the winter season and I am sure you are all having tons of fun with your Christmas shopping!
Today on our blog we are featuring the one and only Kylie Hearne the CEO of Stardust Boutique. I had the pleasure of actually being Miss Stardust Boutique in 2011/12 and actually was there to cut the ribbon at Swansea Wales…how exciting is that! I have watched Kylie’s business grow from strength to strength and now she is here to tell us her story in her own words. Read below for this exciting interview:

1) Congratulations for all of your success as the Founder and CEO of Stardust Boutique,
from winning awards to massive sales in business. Pls tell us when you had the idea to set up 
your own business?
Thank you very much, I started my business because I was searching for a job after graduating from Swansea University with a degree in classical civilisation in 2010, and I am a very impatient person! I needed to pay the rent and bills and my part time job was not covering these, so I began renting my old pageant dresses on facebook to try to get money to keep myself housed and fed. I spoke to the charity the “Prince’s Trust” who put me on a 4 day enterprise programme to teach me how to run a business and it just went from there! It was not an idea I had; it was more of a way to survive.

2)  What 5 qualities does it take to be a female entrepreneur?

3) What has been your biggest challenge as a Female Entrepreneur so far and what steps 
did you take to overcome this?
Lack of finances has been my biggest challenge. I started my business with a rail with just five old pageant dresses. I have had to build from this – bearing in mind I currently have a shop and employ 6 members of staff! You saw the answer to my last question. Without finances I have had to work day and night for nearly three years to achieve this. I believe it would pay off. I am a very determined girl.

4) You are admired and loved by many amazing girls in the Pageant Industry, who
would you say is one of the most outstanding Beauty Queens in the UK at hand?
Thank you very much! I could pick so many outstanding queens but the one I look up to the most is Rhianedd Adlam the Welsh winner for the Face of the Globe competition. It is her personality that stands out to me; she is kind, hard-working, and unbelievably modest. She is also extremely intelligent. I think she is a true role model.

5) What advice would you give to a girl that is keen to purchase a dress from Stardust Boutique
for a Beauty Pageant? How can she choose the right dress i.e. colour, shape, fitting, length etc
Plenty! I never sell a dress to a lady without it being exactly right for her. This question could take an eternity to answer so all I will say is if anyone needs to know what will be right for her they should contact me. I will be as honest as a mother and as kind as a sister.

6) Congratulations for being a former Beauty Queen.
Tell us about your previous pageant experience of winning? Which pageants did you enter and what did you win?
I came second in Miss Earth Wales so I had the title Miss Air which meant a lot to me because I believe a lot in caring for the earth, and recycling. Most importantly I love animals and nature. I have started a ‘wear sparkles not fur’ campaign.  I am so delighted to see so many beauty queens joining the cause as animals are barbarically stripped of their skins while alive for fur. This extends to reptiles and birds. Therefore I now sponsor the competition MISS EARTH WALES wholeheartedly. I also won European Princess of Wales. This was a very special competition because we competed as a team. It was the most enjoyable competition I entered by far! I have also won various awards such as best hair at Miss Wales, Miss Charity at Miss University. I have a lot of experience but I feel my pageant days are good memories – not for the future for me anymore.

7) You are originally from Wales and reside in Swansea, what do you love most about Wales?
I love my home. I love the countryside, I love my family. I love my little village of Hendy, I love the archaeology and history.

8) You have visited London a few times, what do you love most about London?
It is different to home and there is so much history. I studied four different history A levels: Ancient History, Modern History, Classical Civilisation, Archaeology. I love the history of London in the way I love the history in the City of Bath. Just being in the City can make you feel as though you are in another time! So much to see. It is like being in a dream!

9) What advice would you give to the girls and the current winners at UK’s Dazzling Beauty who would like to 
be outstanding beauty queens in 2014? What advice can you give them on what they can do to shine?
Be yourself, be kind, be honest, and be true to your crown. Do lots for charity. To be honest, these are things that I believe all humans should do – whether they are beauty queens or not.

Thank you very much for having involved us in this wonderful competition for a second year in a row. My advice would be to approach us for styling advice and catwalk advice, but if you want to win a crown you must be kind, honest and wonderful on the inside because this is more important than make up, hair, and (even as a dress-shop owner I must say this) dresses!

1) Why have you decided to enter in for Miss Christmas Beauty UK 2013 (UK’s Dazzling Beauty Pageant) and how did you hear about this competition?
I want to enter this pageant because it seems like I will gain a lot of experience from it and it will help me with my confidence . I heard about this pageant on Facebook .

2) What are your three best Christmas songs ?
Mariah Carey – All I want for Christmas, Paul Mc carney – wonderful Christmas time , Justin Bieber – under the mistletoe

3) What makes you a Christmas Dazzling Beauty? (Give three reasons) I am a giving person and I like to give to people.

I like to make others happy and support them.

I love raising money for charities and helping to make a difference .

4) Have you ever raised money for Charity before and what will you do to raise money for our Chosen Charities? I had raised money for Redditch Nightstop , which is a place within my local town where people less fortunate can go to sleep and they also get provided with food in conclusion with other things such as clothes etc . I raised money by packing customer bags in Tescos throughout the summer holidays this year and then asking customers to donate money toward the cause.

I will ask for sponsorship to go towards the charity by asking my family , friends and work colleagues to make a contribution towards the charitable cause.

5) Have you ever entered a Beauty Pageant before or had any performing arts experience? (If yes, please tell us about your experience)
I have been a finalist for a Miss England Regional pageant. I have also done a lot of performing arts. I’ve been in a lot of places around the West midlands such  as Driotwich Spa shopping centre, Kingfisher shopping centre, St Augustine’s Catholic high school, Woodfield Middle school, St George’s first school, The Redditch palace theatre , Droitwich spa youth centre, Walkwood middle school, Redditch youth club and many many more.

6) Why should you be the winner of Miss Christmas Beauty UK 2013?
I should be the winner because I will give a 100 percent in ensuring I always contribute to raising money for the chosen charities and I will uphold the honour of the pageant  .

7) If you win Miss Christmas UK 2012 this will also grant you a place in the Grand finals of UK’s Dazzling Beauty 2013, what will this mean to you and why do you feel that you will make a great grand finalist?
This would mean so much to me as I have always loved pageants and to be a finalist in the grand final would be such a superb experience therefore I will gain so much knowledge from this that will benefit me in the future . My confidence levels will also increase which would just be amazing .

8) What three things do you love about Christmas more than anything?
I love giving during Christmas time. I also like spending time with my family as I’m so close to them . I love seeing my younger siblings laughing and smiling.

I look forward to all rounds because I’ve never competed in a Christmas pageant therefore I believe there will be a lot for me to gain so I look forward to all rounds as i will get the opportunity to boost my confidence in relation to improving my grammar and public speaking skills; which would be absolutely superb.

I have been raising money now for 3-4 years and just got a part of £100.000 cancer and kids hospices men cap Alzheimer’s memory disease.  Heart foundation etc.

I should win because you will have someone who gives 100% at all times with I massive heart to give to all.

If I won my family would feel so proud like they are now and because I have gave so much to others I would get something I could really shows how to use your pageant title.

The Grand Final, 17th of November….How it went and the results…UK’s Dazzling Beauty 2013

Happy December Dazzling Beauties –

We want to start by wishing you all a VERY happy new month and we are super excited about Christmas which is FAST approaching!
Are you excited too? We have a Christmas Photo Heat that we are currently running! see below for details.

Thanks to everyone that attended our Grand Final event two weeks ago! The Grand Final of UK’s Dazzling Beauty took place on the 17th of November 2013 at Holiday Inn Brighton Sea Front.  We had 24 grand finalists travel down to compete in the grand final from all over the UK. Cities included Bristol, London, Newport,

The Grand Final was a success with lots of energy, a big buzz and excitement!

Before rehearsals we began with videographer and photographer  Tonte our PR and Communications staff
began interviewing the girls, filming them and they had a photo shoot.
(Look out for the video coming soon to our Youtube)

We then went into rehearsals which was full of fun and activity.

We had 5 rounds for the Grand Final
